PUDOVIK

Pudovik is a medium-ripening tomato variety developed by Siberian breeders, characterized by very large fruits and high yield. Determinate-type plants grow to a height of 1.0 to 1.5 meters and require staking and pruning to one or two stems for optimal growth and fruiting. The variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected soil, although experienced gardeners recommend preferring open ground. For seedling cultivation, seeds are sown 50-60 days before transplanting into the soil at a germination temperature of 23-25°C, with approximately three plants per square meter.

Pudovik fruits have a distinctly heart-shaped form and a bright pink-red color. The weight of a single tomato typically ranges from 300 to 500 grams, although under proper care, fruits weighing up to 1-1.5 kilograms may be grown. The tomatoes are meaty and juicy, with a small number of seeds and chambers, as well as medium dry matter content. The flavor is excellent, with a slight acidity, making them suitable for fresh consumption as well as for making juices and sauces.

To achieve high yields, regular watering and fertilization during the vegetative period are necessary. The first harvest ripens approximately 110 days after sowing. Under proper agronomic practices, one plant can yield up to 5 kilograms of tomatoes. Due to their large, attractive fruits and excellent flavor, the Pudovik variety is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a bountiful and high-quality harvest.
