Tomato Danko

Tomato variety DANKO is a medium-early determinate variety with a fruit maturation period of 106 to 118 days after seedling emergence. Plants of this variety have a moderate branching degree and compact height: on open beds they reach 45-55 centimeters, while in greenhouse conditions they can grow up to 1.2-1.5 meters. The plant does not require pinching, but when grown in greenhouses, it is recommended to tie stems to supports and form the bush into 3-4 stems for optimal results. The variety is resistant to drought, making it suitable for various climatic zones and cultivation types, including open ground, plastic covers, and greenhouses. The fruits of tomato DANKO are large, heart-shaped with moderate ribbing. In ripe condition, they have a red-orange color with a dark green spot at the stem attachment. The weight of one tomato varies from 150 to 300 grams, and under greenhouse cultivation with good care, it can reach 450-500 grams. The flesh is dense and juicy, with a thin skin and a rich, memorable flavor. Due to these qualities, tomatoes are excellent for fresh consumption, as well as for making salads, sauces, pasta, and lecho. The yield of this variety under proper agrotechnology is about 3-3.5 kg per plant, equivalent to approximately 3.4 kg per square meter. Although the plant requires careful care and attention, the effort is rewarded by high quality and flavor of the fruits.
