Tomato Perius F1

Stable yields and high marketability

When selecting an indeterminate hybrid for professional production, it is crucial to understand how the plant handles intense stress. Perius F1 by agro- Tip Handels-u. Consultingges. mbH is a reliable asset designed to produce heavy, high-quality yields.

Cultivation and plant protection

The primary advantage of Perius F1 is its built-in resilience. In greenhouse conditions, combating Fusarium and Verticillium wilt often drains the budget for crop protection. Here, genetic resistance to a complex of viral diseases and root-knot nematodes allows for a significant reduction in pesticide usage. The plant is responsive to nutrition and avoids the need for overly complex management, maintaining a steady growth rate throughout the 90-100 days until harvest.

Harvesting and logistics economics

• Large fruit size: Each tomato consistently exceeds 200 grams, making them highly sought after in the fresh market.
• Geometry and color: Perfect round shape and deep red color simplify grading and pre-sale processing.
• Transportability: The fruits are firm, resisting cracking during mechanical handling and long-distance shipping.
• Yield: With proper agricultural practices, yields reach 70-100 tons per hectare, ensuring highly profitable production.

Working with Perius F1 is efficient: the indeterminate growth habit allows for predictable bush management, which is essential for timely pruning and staking. It is a forgiving hybrid that rewards precision in nutritional management with exceptional consistency.
