Pink Delight

Pink Delight F1 tomato — an early-maturing, high-yielding hybrid of pink-fruited tomato developed by the Dutch company Ergon Seed. This indeterminate variety features a vigorous, tall, and well-balanced plant with a well-developed root system and large green leaves. It is successfully grown both in open fields and in greenhouses or under plastic coverings, allowing for a two-crop harvest. The fruit ripens in 63–67 days after transplanting seedlings to the final location, making it one of the earliest maturing pink tomato varieties. Pink Delight fruits are round, slightly flattened, weighing 200–250 grams. They exhibit a vibrant pink color both inside and out, a glossy surface, and uniform size and shape. The flesh is juicy, meaty, with firm walls, a sweet flavor with a mild acidity, making them ideal for fresh salads, vegetable cuts, and processing into juices and sauces. A key feature of this hybrid is the high storability and transportability of the fruits, as well as resistance to cracking, which enables their use in long-distance transport and storage. Pink Delight F1 has high resistance to major tomato diseases, including mosaic virus, fusarium, verticillium, and root-knot nematodes. The plant continues to form fruit set even under stressful conditions and temperature fluctuations, ensuring a stable and high yield of up to 8 kg per square meter. Thanks to these qualities and the unique durability of the fruits, this hybrid is popular among farmers and greenhouse growers, and is suitable for commercial cultivation and export.
