Tomato variety OPTIMIST is an early-maturing salad-type variety that reaches fruiting stage 95-100 days after germination. The plant is determinate, up to 150 cm tall, making it convenient for cultivation in greenhouses and under temporary plastic coverings. Fruits have a flat-round shape with a slightly ribbed structure, medium density, and weight ranging from 200 to 280 grams. Immature fruits are green, turning to a rich orange hue upon ripening. Inside the fruit, there are 4-6 chambers with tender flesh possessing excellent taste. The OPTIMIST variety is ideal for fresh consumption, especially in salads, as well as for whole-fruit canning. Due to its resistance to verticillium wilt and fusarium wilt, this tomato demonstrates high reliability and stable yield. Yield reaches up to 8.5 kg per square meter, making it attractive for commercial cultivation and home gardening. For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown in early-to-mid April, followed by transplanting when the first true leaves appear. Seedlings are transplanted in May, when plants are 30-35 days old, with a planting scheme of 40x60 cm. This approach ensures optimal conditions for plant development and maximum yield.
