Tomato Nadiya

Stability and Quality: Why Professionals Choose “Nadiya”

The “Nadiya” tomato, developed by the experts at the Cherkasy IAPV UAAN, has firmly established itself as a top-tier indeterminate variety. Its key advantage over generic hybrids is the rare combination of high commercial quality and exceptional shelf life. In commercial farming, where logistics are crucial, this tomato excels: fruits retain their firmness and flavor for over 30 days post-harvest.

Agronomic Features and Yield

While the indeterminate growth habit requires diligent staking and pruning, the consistent output of 100-150g plum-shaped fruits makes the labor worthwhile. A 100-120 day maturity window allows growers to reliably schedule market deliveries throughout the season.

• Disease Resistance: Natural resistance to late blight (Phytophthora) significantly reduces the need for heavy fungicide applications, essential for sustainable farming practices.
• Transportability: With a robust skin and dense flesh, this variety withstands long-distance transit without losing its commercial appearance.
• Versatility: The plum shape and vibrant red-pink color make it perfect for both fresh market sales and whole-fruit canning.

“Nadiya” is the ideal choice for those balancing predictable yields with market liquidity. It is a forgiving variety for those newer to horticulture, yet when managed with intensive techniques, it displays a level of productivity that few standard market varieties can match.
