Nixarty

Tomato Nixarty is an indeterminate plant reaching up to 2 meters in height, with ordinary leaf type and simple inflorescences. The fruits of this variety have medium size and weight ranging from 60 to 100 grams, featuring an elongated pepper-like shape with a small tip, smooth surface without ribbing, and 2–3 chambers. The fruit color is vivid red with a raspberry tint inside, and the flesh has a dense texture. Thanks to these characteristics, Nixarty tomatoes are ideal for making pickles, ketchup, tomato paste, and thick, flavorful juice, making this variety especially valuable for winter preservation.

The variety exhibits high resistance to diseases such as fusarium and tomato mosaic virus (TMV), and also shows tolerance to whitefly virus (TYLCV). In addition, Nixarty tomatoes are resistant to fruit cracking, which helps maintain the quality of the harvest. High sugar content (brix) ensures excellent flavor of the fruits. The plant demonstrates high fruit set and uniform ripening, contributing to high yields.
