Tomato MARGARITA is a medium-maturing hybrid with a period from germination to fruiting of 106-110 days. The plant is tall, reaching a height of 1.5 to 1.8 meters, requiring formation into a single stem with the apical meristem transferred to a lateral branch. This variety is recommended for cultivation in plastic and glass-covered greenhouses, where an optimal microclimate is provided for its development. Sowing for seedlings is carried out at the end of March – beginning of April, and transplanting into greenhouses can be done at the end of April or early-to-mid May, when seedlings reach an age of about 40 days.
The fruits of tomato MARGARITA have a flat-round shape, slightly ribbed, dense, and fleshy, with a red color and a slight orange tint. Fruit mass varies from 140-160 grams to 270-500 grams and more, indicating high yield and large-fruitedness of the variety. The fruits are characterized by juiciness, rich and well-balanced flavor, and resistance to cracking, making them ideal for canning and salad preparation. Additionally, the tomatoes have good storability, allowing them to retain quality during storage.
Hybrid MARGARITA exhibits increased resistance to a range of diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus, cladosporiasis, and fusarium, significantly simplifying care and increasing yield stability. Yield per plant reaches 6.5-7 kg, making this variety attractive for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The recommended planting scheme is 40x60 cm, ensuring optimal space for each plant’s development and maximum productivity.
