The main engineering task in creating this hybrid was to mitigate risks associated with the most dangerous nightshade pathogens. The genetic code of "Manami" includes resistance to a complex of diseases that traditionally reduce the yield of marketable products by 30-50%:

• Verticillium and Fusarium wilt (races 0, 1): blocking the penetration of fungal mycelia into the plant's vascular system.
• Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV): high tolerance to aggressive viral strains, eliminating the risk of crop loss due to micro-injuries during cultivation.
• Yellowing and leaf curl viruses: specific adaptation that allows the plant to maintain photosynthetic activity even during periods of high pest activity.

Plant architecture and fruit quality

The indeterminate growth type requires precise crop management; however, "Manami" demonstrates high plasticity in truss formation. Fruits weighing over 200 grams are characterized by a distinct round shape and dense tissue structure, which is critical for logistics. A firm skin and a balanced cell wall composition ensure excellent transportability, allowing the tomato to maintain its market appearance without damage during long-distance transportation. A vegetation period of up to 90 days classifies the variety as mid-season, making it an optimal solution for extended crop cycles in greenhouses.
