Tomato MALEK

Working with the «Malek» Indeterminate Tomato

The «Malek» variety from Agrofirma Aelita is a robust indeterminate tomato that rewards proper care with a consistent yield. While it requires staking and regular pruning due to its indeterminate growth habit, the plants are manageable and easy to harvest. It fits perfectly into a well-organized greenhouse rotation.

Disease Resistance and Farm Management

The standout feature of this variety is its impressive immunity. In a greenhouse environment, where high humidity often triggers fungal issues, «Malek» showed excellent resistance to cladosporiosis and verticillium wilt. Its resilience against tobacco mosaic virus is also a significant benefit. For an operator, this translates to lower expenditure on fungicides and reduced chemical intervention, keeping the production cycle clean and efficient.

Commercial Value and Storage

The fruits, weighing between 150 and 200 grams, are perfect for the fresh market. They are firm, round, and show excellent transportability, which minimizes losses.
