Tomato GRAPEFRUIT DROP

Grapefruit Drop is a mid-season cherry tomato variety suitable for cultivation in both polytunnels and open ground. The plant is indeterminate, reaching a height of 1.5 to 2 meters, which allows for abundant yields. The period from germination to fruit ripening is 100-110 days, making this variety relatively quick to produce fruit.

The tomatoes have an oval shape with a characteristic nipple and are colored red-brown with dark stripes, giving them a decorative and attractive appearance. The weight of each fruit ranges from 18 to 30 grams. They are dense, smooth, and possess a very sweet, rich fruity flavor with delicate aromatic notes, making them especially appealing to children and lovers of sweet tomatoes.

This variety is versatile in use: the fruits are excellent for fresh consumption, whole-fruit canning, and drying. Thanks to their ability to accumulate up to 18% dry matter, "Grapefruit Drop" tomatoes can be dried directly on the vine, making them an ideal choice for making dried tomatoes. Additionally, they are rich in carotenoids, particularly lycopene, and anthocyanins, which enhance their nutritional value and health benefits.
