Tomato LADY FINGERS

The «Ladies' Fingers» Tomato: A Market Standard

The «Ladies' Fingers» (Damskie Palchiki) tomato is a classic selection developed by Russian breeders Elizaveta Kudryavtseva, Mikhail Kudryavtsev, and Elena Golovatskaya. Over the years, it has established itself as an industry benchmark, particularly favored for whole-fruit canning due to its uniform size and structural integrity.

Agrotechnical Profile

This variety displays remarkable plasticity in the field. Depending on the cultivation method and pruning, the plant can exhibit both determinate and indeterminate growth habits, making it adaptable to both open-field conditions and greenhouse systems.

• Maturity: early-ripening variety with a growth cycle of up to 90 days.
• Fruit: characteristic elongated cylindrical shape, weighing between 40 and 100 grams, which makes them perfect for standardized container packing.
• Color: rich, vibrant red.

Market Performance

The primary advantage of «Ladies' Fingers» is its excellent transportability. The skin and flesh firmness allow for long-distance logistics without bruising or loss of quality. In commercial production, the variety is highly valued for its potential yield, reaching 70–100 tons per hectare. Backed by the patented intellectual property of E.R. Kudryavtseva, this seed material provides consistent, reliable performance, making it a go-to choice for producers seeking efficiency and high marketability.
