Tomato Honey

Focusing on Large Fruit and Flavor

The 'Medoviy' tomato from Agrofirma Demetra-Sibir proved to be a predictable, high-performance tool. This is an indeterminate variety that requires careful pruning, but its yield easily justifies every hour spent maintaining the crop.

Agronomics and Consistency

The 100–120 day maturation period is standard for mid-season tomatoes. The plant is vigorous and develops foliage rapidly, so weekly suckering is an absolute necessity. With proper care, the plant directs its resources into fruit development rather than excessive vegetative growth. A crucial detail for any agronomist: 'Medoviy' requires consistent irrigation. Due to its large fruit size (consistently over 200 grams), sudden fluctuations in soil moisture can lead to micro-cracking of the skin, but if the water regime is maintained, the fruit quality remains impeccable.

Yield and Marketability

The flat-round shape of the pink fruit is a classic that remains in high demand on the fresh market. Customers prefer pink tomatoes for their sweet, sugary flavor, and 'Medoviy' lives up to its name. Regarding yields: figures of 70–100 tons per hectare are achievable under intensive greenhouse cultivation. The crop responds well to potassium fertilization during active fruiting, which ensures solid fruit structure without internal voids and a pronounced aroma.

• Weight: consistently hits the 200g+ mark, simplifying packaging and grading.
• Growth Habit: indeterminate type allows for maximum utilization of greenhouse vertical space.
• Color: deep pink shade that holds up well during storage and transport.

If you prioritize stability and fruit size, this variety is a reliable asset for any agricultural enterprise.
