Tomato ALMAZ is a high-yielding, cluster-type hybrid with medium-sized fruits, intended for fresh market. The plant exhibits a generative growth type, strong and resilient green mass, and an open bush type. The plant height slightly exceeds standard measurements, and fruit ripening occurs early. The fruits are dense, have good storability, and are resistant to cracking, with an attractive bright red color and an average weight of 135–150 grams. For cluster formation, it is recommended to leave five fruits, which contributes to obtaining a high-quality harvest.
The ALMAZ hybrid shows high resistance to a complex of diseases, including reduced susceptibility to gray mold (botrytis), making it more reliable compared to most modern varieties. The plant has strong vines, providing good fruit support. Due to its characteristics, this tomato is suitable for open-field cultivation and requires minimal care.
The variety was developed in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and is characterized by an ultrarapid ripening period — from 75 to 85 days. The plant is determinate, with a dwarf bush height of 30–40 cm, which simplifies care, as the tomato does not require staking or pinching. Despite their relatively small size, the fruits have excellent flavor and meaty texture, making them popular for fresh consumption.
