Description
Tomato 'Pink Grape' is an early-maturing, high-yielding variety characterized by a vigorous, medium-height bush reaching 100 to 150 cm. Due to its height and moderate leafiness, the plant requires staking. The flowers form complex branched clusters, each bearing a large number of small fruits — up to 50-60 per cluster. The fruits are oval, plum-shaped, about 5-6 cm long and weighing 30-50 g, with a dense, glossy pink-purple skin that is easy to eat.
The flesh of the tomato is tender, very juicy, and has an outstanding dessert flavor, with sweetness dominating over acidity. Due to its flavor profile, this tomato is suitable for fresh consumption, canning, salads, and vegetable juices. The variety is prized for its high fruit set under various growing conditions and for the ability to yield fruit as early as 80-90 days after germination.
Growing the 'Pink Grape' variety requires a sunny, warm location with light, slightly acidic soils. Seeds are typically sown in February-March, and seedlings are transplanted into the ground when they reach about 25 cm in height. Yield per plant reaches approximately 6 kg, making this variety attractive for cultivation both in greenhouses and open ground. Thanks to its early ripening and ease of care, tomato 'Pink Grape' is an excellent choice for those wishing to harvest their first fresh tomatoes at the beginning of summer.
