Tomato Diamantino

Yield and Growth Performance

Working with the 'Diamantino' hybrid from Enza Limited, it is clear that this is a premium seed choice for professional growers. As an indeterminate variety, it requires precise training and pruning, but the reward is exceptional. When following standard greenhouse protocols, yields consistently hit the 100–130 tonnes per hectare range. It is a reliable performer that responds well to balanced fertigation.

Disease Resistance and Plant Health

Disease management is the most challenging part of protected cropping, but 'Diamantino' simplifies this significantly with its robust genetic resistance. It also provides a strong defense against common greenhouse issues such as Cladosporium (leaf mold), various rots, and powdery mildew, which cuts down on the need for excessive chemical intervention.

Marketability and Handling

The fruit quality is where 'Diamantino' truly excels. The tomatoes are consistently large, exceeding 200 grams, with a classic round to heart-shaped profile. It is an ideal variety for those who need a high-quality product that travels well.
