Tomato Kitaru

Stability and Management in the Greenhouse

Working with the 'Kitaru' indeterminate tomato requires agronomic discipline, but in return, the hybrid delivers predictable performance. Given its indeterminate growth type, the main focus is on proper pruning and trellising. The plant responds well to intensive fertilization but is not prone to overgrowth if a standard nutrient schedule is maintained.

Disease Resistance for Operational Efficiency

The core advantage of this hybrid is its robust immune system. In greenhouse conditions where disease pressure accumulates rapidly, 'Kitaru' minimizes the need for frequent fungicide applications. Its genetic resistance to Verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt, Leaf Mold (Cladosporium), and Tomato Mosaic Virus allows you to optimize your crop protection budget and ensures a cleaner, higher-quality harvest.

Harvest and Logistics

• Maturation: A growth cycle of up to 90 days makes 'Kitaru' an efficient tool for planning and managing harvest schedules.
• Marketability: The firm skin and solid structure of the 200g+ fruit ensure excellent shelf life and transportability, preventing damage during long-distance shipping.
• End Product: The uniform, round, pink fruit meets the high aesthetic standards of the premium fresh market.

'Kitaru' is a pragmatic choice for producers who prioritize genetic reliability and simplified management of the production cycle.
