Tomato Doral

German Breeding for the Professional Market

The «Doral» tomato, produced by the German company agro-Tip Handels-u. Consultingges. mbH, is a high-performance hybrid that has gained recognition among vegetable growers for its adaptability and robust genetic health. Designed for intensive farming, this hybrid balances large fruit size with excellent marketability, making it a strategic asset for operations focused on the fresh produce market.

Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

The primary strength of the Doral hybrid is its comprehensive resistance to pathogens that typically threaten crop yields in both protected and open field conditions. The variety demonstrates strong resilience against fungal diseases, including fusarium wilt, verticillium wilt, and brown spot. The breeders at agro-Tip have placed particular focus on viral protection, including resistance to Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus (TYLCV) and bacterial spot, significantly reducing the need for intensive chemical applications.
