Tomato Bonus

Why professionals choose "Bonus"

The "Bonus" variety is a deliberate choice for those seeking a balance between large fruit size and the reliability of a determinate plant. Unlike many early hybrids, this tomato does not sacrifice its meaty texture for the sake of ripening speed. Originators from the Federal Research Center for Vegetable Growing have developed a variety capable of producing fruits weighing over 200 grams, while maintaining a distinct cuboid shape that fits perfectly into crates and retains its marketability during transport.

Agronomic features

The 100–120 day growing cycle allows for flexible harvest planning, whether in open fields or under temporary film covers. The low-growing, determinate bush does not require complex pruning or intensive suckering, which saves the farmer significant time. Key advantages include:

• Excellent transportability due to the dense fruit structure.
• Lack of internal cavities and high fleshiness.
• Stable yields even during moderate climatic fluctuations.

Despite these excellent performance indicators, it is important to remember that the "Bonus" variety requires sufficient potassium intake during the fruit-setting stage to fully reach its potential in terms of shape and mass. Who will benefit most from this tomato? Primarily farms focused on the fresh market, where the appearance of the vegetable and its ability to withstand shipping without damage are crucial.
