Tomato BLACK PLUM

The Genetic Architecture of «Malinoviy Plut»

The «Malinoviy Plut» tomato by NPO «Sad i Ogorod» is a selective product focused on high-yield, large-fruited production with distinct dessert qualities. The originator, Vladimir Vasilyevich Stepanov, ensures the preservation of varietal traits through rigorous cultivation standards.

Fruit Morphology and Productivity

The core of this hybrid's breeding program is the focus on fruit mass. With a stable weight exceeding 200 grams, «Malinoviy Plut» is an optimal choice for both commercial production and private farms. The round fruit geometry minimizes waste during handling, while uniform ripening ensures structural integrity during transport.

• Color Profile: A rich pink shade, resulting from high levels of anthocyanins and lycopene.
• Pulp Texture: Dense and meaty, with balanced, low acidity.
• Adaptability: The variety demonstrates high resistance to temperature fluctuations.

Technological Recommendations

Cultivation requires balanced nutrition. Given the genetic predisposition for large fruit development, the plant requires timely potassium application to maintain turgor and sugar formation. The dense skin prevents cracking during irrigation, which is critical for achieving high-quality harvests in greenhouses or open fields. The round shape simplifies packaging and storage, maintaining shelf appeal for 7–10 days post-harvest.
