A Reliable Pink Giant: Why Professionals Choose the «Tsarsky Podarok» Tomato

The breeding work of Vladimir Nikolaevich Dederko and Olga Valentinovna Postnikova has provided vegetable growers with a variety that performs reliably in both film greenhouses and open fields. «Tsarsky Podarok» is a mid-late tomato variety, taking 120–130 days from germination to technical maturity. The plant uses this time to develop heavy, fleshy fruits that consistently weigh over 200 grams.

Strengths and Resistance to Pathogens

The main feature of this variety is its combination of impressive size and high pulp density, which is rare for large-fruited pink tomatoes. Among its competitors, the variety stands out due to the following characteristics:

• Immunity to soil-borne infections: genetic resistance to Verticillium and Fusarium wilt eliminates the risk of harvest loss due to the most dangerous fungal diseases.
• Marketability: its round shape and rich pink color make the variety highly sought after for commercial sales.
• Stability: the variety is predictable in cultivation and responds well to balanced nutrition.

Who Is This Variety For?

«Tsarsky Podarok» is an optimal solution for those seeking a balance between large fruit size and disease resistance. It is not an "early bird" variety designed for super-early harvest, but a reliable option for those focusing on quality and appearance during mid-summer and autumn. It requires bush shaping and pruning, making it ideal for growers willing to invest time in plant care to achieve maximum yield. In the hands of an experienced vegetable grower, this variety becomes a benchmark for taste and visual appeal.
