Tomato BEAR GRIZZLY

Reliable choice for large-fruited tomato production

The «Mishka Kosolapy» tomato, developed by «Heterozisnaya Selektsiya», has established itself as a productive variety for those aiming to produce impressive pink fruits. Originators Anatoly Vladimirovich Aliluev and Valentina Nikolaevna Gubko focused on creating a hybrid with strong genetic potential, capable of yielding between 70 and 100 tons per hectare, making it a viable option for both private gardens and small-scale commercial farms.

Agronomic resilience

Significant effort in the breeding process was dedicated to phytosanitary security. The variety demonstrates high resistance to the most common pathogens threatening Solanaceae crops, including:

• Fusarium wilt and Fusarium;
• Alternaria;
• Tobacco mosaic virus and other viral diseases.

This inherent resistance reduces the dependency on frequent chemical treatments, allowing farmers to cultivate cleaner produce with better market appeal.

Crop characteristics

«Mishka Kosolapy» is categorized as a mid-season crop with a vegetation period of 100–120 days. Its heart-shaped pink fruits have become its trademark. Each tomato consistently weighs over 200 grams, making them ideal for fresh market sales, juices, and premium sauces. The high flesh density and thin skin provide excellent commercial qualities. Achieving the target yields requires proper irrigation and nutrition management during the active fruiting phase. By choosing this variety, growers are investing in proven, locally adapted genetics designed to thrive under Russian climatic conditions.
