APRON — a new indeterminate tomato hybrid, distinguished by its low maintenance and high adaptability, allowing it to be grown in any type of greenhouse. The plant is generative, open-type with short internodes, promoting even fruit cluster development throughout the entire vegetation period. The fruits are round with a characteristic 'nose,' dark red color with a glossy sheen, and weigh between 200 to 260 grams. Thanks to its excellent taste qualities and high transportability, APRON tomatoes are suitable for both fresh consumption and further processing.
The hybrid demonstrates very high yield potential when grown on both short and extended cropping cycles. It is resistant to a range of diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus (ToMV), Fusarium wilt (Ff), Verticillium wilt (Va), root rot (Vd), stem rot (Fol), as well as nematodes (Ma, Mi, Mj). This resistance significantly reduces the risk of crop loss and decreases the need for frequent application of protective treatments.
APRON is an excellent choice for industrial cultivation due to its high yield and fruit quality. It is suitable for producing tomato paste and juices, ensuring concentrated ripening and stable product output. Fruit set begins 110–115 days after germination, enabling farmers to plan harvests for optimal timing. This hybrid combines high productivity, disease resistance, and outstanding taste characteristics, making it a profitable and reliable option for farmers and agricultural enterprises.
