Tomato Arabat

Stable Yields in Early Harvest Cycles

The 'Arabat' tomato from the IKOSG NAAN originator is the preferred choice for commercial growers focused on securing high-quality produce within tight timeframes. Given its indeterminate growth habit, this variety is perfectly suited for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and open fields using trellis systems. A maturation period of 90-100 days allows growers to meet market demand in the early segment, mitigating risks associated with late-summer temperature fluctuations.

Cultivation Scenarios and Agronomic Practices

• Vertical Training: Due to its continuous vine growth, the variety requires mandatory staking and pruning. Optimal planting density allows for efficient use of greenhouse space, ensuring proper light penetration to each cluster.
• Load Management: The hybrid responds well to intensive fertilization programs. Maintaining a proper nitrogen-to-potassium balance ensures high fruit firmness, which is essential for post-harvest transport and shelf life.
• Field Operations: In southern regions of Ukraine, this variety shows strong adaptability to environmental stressors, maintaining reliable fruit set even under moderate heat conditions.

The primary advantage of using 'Arabat' seeds lies in crop predictability. Farmers select this material for continuous production cycles where synchronized cluster ripening is a priority. The fruits are highly uniform, simplifying post-harvest sorting and packaging. The use of drip irrigation combined with fertigation allows growers to maximize the yield potential established by the breeders at IKOSG NAAN.
