Tomato ALVARO

Dutch precision in every cluster

The 'Alvaro' tomato by Wing Seed is an indeterminate hybrid designed for professional greenhouse production. Unlike many competitors that sacrifice flavor for sheer bulk, 'Alvaro' strikes a balance, offering a consistent yield of 70–100 tons per hectare while maintaining consumer-friendly fruit characteristics.

Key Advantages

• Optimized sizing: With an average fruit weight of 100–150 grams, this variety fits perfectly into standard market requirements for fresh produce.
• Predictable cycle: Reaching maturity within 90 days allows for precise harvest scheduling, crucial for meeting supply contracts and retail demand.
• Consistent morphology: The uniform, round shape and deep red color ensure high quality and minimal losses during the sorting process.

Ideal for professional growers

As an indeterminate hybrid, 'Alvaro' requires professional management, including timely pruning and trellising. It is best suited for farmers who operate intensive greenhouse systems and prioritize yield stability over experimental traits. The primary advantage of 'Alvaro' is its genetic reliability; it produces highly uniform fruit, reducing the labor costs associated with grading. While it demands strict adherence to fertilization schedules, the reward is a high-volume harvest of commercial-grade tomatoes. For those working with Wing Seed genetics, 'Alvaro' stands out as a dependable performer in the professional segment.
