Tomato PICKET

The tomato variety Picket is a fast-maturing, determinate type, intended for cultivation in open ground. Plants reach a height of 40 to 50 cm, making them compact and easy to plant. The variety is characterized by its hardiness and high yield, and does not require pinching or staking, significantly reducing care efforts. Seeds can be sown directly into open ground, and when planting, it is recommended to place about five plants per square meter.

The fruits of the Picket tomato have an elongated-round shape with a bright red color and a weight of 70 to 80 grams. They are dense and resistant to damage, making them ideal for whole-fruit canning, as well as for fresh consumption. The variety responds well to watering and feeding with complex mineral fertilizers, which helps increase yield, which can reach up to 5-6 kg per square meter.

To protect against common diseases such as late blight and alternaria, preventive treatments with specialized agents are recommended. Due to its resistance to temperature fluctuations and hardiness, the Picket tomato is an excellent choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions, especially in Siberia. This variety combines high fruit quality, ease of care, and good yield, making it popular among gardeners.
