Altay Yellow tomato is a tall indeterminate variety with a fruit maturation period of 110 to 115 days. Plants can reach up to 2 meters in height and are characterized by strong foliage. The first flower cluster forms above the 9th-10th leaf, and subsequent clusters form every three leaves, promoting uniform and prolonged fruiting. Inflorescences are simple, usually containing 4-5 flowers.
The fruits are flat-round, juicy, multi-chambered, and slightly ribbed, weighing from 400 to 600 grams. In the technical ripening stage, a dark green spot is noticeable near the stem, while at biological ripeness, they turn into a rich yellow or orange color. Tomatoes have high sugar content (over 4%) and contain up to 4.2 mg of beta-carotene, giving them a sweet taste and making them especially nutritious.
This variety is widely used in dietary and children’s nutrition due to its taste and nutritional value. The yield of this variety is 12-15 kg per square meter at a planting density of about 4 plants per square meter. Due to its large and flavorful fruits, Altay Yellow tomato is an excellent choice for cultivation under various conditions.
