Tomato Adventurer

Reliable Yields in Challenging Climates

The «Avantyurist» tomato, developed by the Novosibirsk SAU, is a classic determinate variety engineered for short growing seasons. The primary goal of this variety is to ensure a stable, marketable harvest in a very tight timeframe. The period from germination to harvest is under 90 days, making it an excellent candidate for regions with unpredictable climates and short summers.

Practical Advantages for Growers

• Compact Growth Habit: Being a determinate variety, it requires minimal pruning and basic support. This feature significantly reduces labor costs during the growing season and allows for tighter planting density.
• Versatile Fruit Quality: The round fruits, weighing 100-150 grams, are perfect for both fresh market sales and processing. Their skin integrity and firmness make them resistant to cracking, which is a major advantage for commercial logistics.
• High Production Potential: With yield potential reaching 100-130 tons per hectare, this variety stands out in the early-maturing segment, ensuring profitability even when grown in open fields or under basic plastic covers.

The «Avantyurist» demonstrates impressive resilience against temperature fluctuations. It acts as a robust «workhorse» variety, forgiving minor gaps in agricultural management while ensuring the crop is harvested before the first autumn frosts. For best results, field management should focus on maintaining adequate spacing for airflow, as the early-ripening nature of the plant benefits from optimal light penetration and consistent irrigation during the fruit-setting stage.
