COURTISAN

Tomato 'Courtisan' is an early-maturing determinate hybrid with a compact, low-growing bush reaching 50 to 70 cm in height. The plant has weak leafiness and requires staking and pruning to 2-3 stems for optimal growth. The first flower bud forms above the 6th-7th leaf, with subsequent flowers appearing every leaf, ensuring steady fruiting. The hybrid does not require pinching, simplifying plant care.

The fruits of tomato 'Courtisan' are round or heart-shaped with a slight indentation at the top, smooth surface, and deep red color when fully ripe. Average fruit weight varies from 50 to 110 grams depending on growing conditions. The flesh is juicy, slightly acidic, and aromatic, with four seed chambers visible when cut. Tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption, salads, home cooking, and canning.

The hybrid has high yield: in open ground, it reaches 14 kg per square meter, and in protected ground — up to 20-22 kg. The plants are resistant to several diseases, including tomato mosaic virus, fusarium wilt, cladosporiasis, and alternaria, and show tolerance to phytophthora. Due to these qualities, the 'Courtisan' variety is recommended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, making it a versatile and reliable choice for gardeners.
