The "Sammagreiz" variety is a highly productive meadow timothy (Phleum pratense L.), included in the State Register for the Central region since 2016. It is a hexaploid species characterized by a semi-erect bush in its second year of life and wide green leaves. Its flowering time is early-mid, and the flag leaf of medium length and width ensures good grass structure.
Dry matter yield in the Central region is stably at 37–38 ц/га (c/ha), with maximum indicators reaching 79.5–88.2 ц/га, which is above the average standard. Protein content in dry matter is about 8.6% (maximum 9.1%), and fiber is approximately 30–32%. Protein collection is at the average standard level but can reach 5.3 ц/га at maximum yield values. These parameters make "Sammagreiz" attractive for feed systems with high requirements for nutritional value.
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to rust and drought, as well as good disease resistance, ensuring stable growth even in unfavorable climatic conditions. Thanks to these characteristics, "Sammagreiz" is suitable for a wide range of agricultural applications, including feed products and landscape greening.
