Maize Supersolodka (Medunitsia) F1

Operational profile of Medunitsa F1

For a grower, the main value of the "Medunitsa" F1 sweet corn hybrid from the Institute of Grain Crops is its predictability. With a maturity window of 70–75 days, the hybrid allows for precise harvest planning, ensuring the cobs reach the market at the peak of their sugar content before the grain quality shifts.

Field performance and maintenance

The plant height of 190–200 cm provides a manageable canopy for both manual and machine-assisted operations. The stalks remain robust, preventing lodging and making it easier for machinery to navigate rows without damaging the crop. This structural reliability minimizes field maintenance tasks.

• Reduced chemical overhead: The natural resistance to common smut (boil smut) allows for a more efficient pest management program. By reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications, you lower the overall cost per ton.
• Pest control optimization: High resistance to the European corn borer significantly decreases cob damage. Fewer damaged cobs mean faster sorting and higher marketability of the harvest, saving valuable time during the busy harvest season.

"Medunitsa" is built for efficiency. It responds consistently to standard fertilization and irrigation schedules, eliminating the need for complex, experimental agronomic practices. This hybrid is the operator's choice for a reliable, low-risk, high-quality sweet corn crop that minimizes post-harvest losses and maximizes field efficiency.
