Maize Rannya Nasoloda F1

Genetic Potential and Ear Architecture

"Rannya Nasoloda F1" sweet corn from Lark Seeds International belongs to the premium SH2 (Supersweet) hybrid category. The defining characteristic of the SH2 type is its ability to accumulate sugars (up to 12-15%), significantly outperforming standard SU or SE varieties. Thanks to high water-soluble polysaccharide content, the kernels retain their tenderness and intense flavor profile long after harvesting, making it an excellent choice for commercial fresh markets.

Agrotechnical Performance

The technical specifications of this hybrid are fine-tuned for early production:

• Maturity: 60–70 days. This short growth cycle allows growers to capitalize on early spring moisture and avoid peak summer insect pressure.
• Plant Structure: With a height of 190–200 cm, the plant provides optimal leaf area for efficient photosynthesis while maintaining stalk strength to prevent lodging.
• Ear Positioning: The first ear is set at 50–60 cm, which facilitates both manual and mechanical harvest, preventing the lower grains from contacting the soil.

Kernel Morphology

The 22–25 cm long ears are impressive for an early-maturing variety. A high marketable weight is guaranteed by the 14–16 rows of kernels, which fill the cob tip efficiently. The kernels feature a vibrant yellow color and a thin pericarp, crucial for premium consumer appeal. The hybrid maintains high fertility and good tip filling even under temperature stress during the pollination phase.

Best Practices for Growers

To fully leverage the potential offered by Lark Seeds International, soil temperature at a 10 cm depth should reach +12-14°C before planting. Due to the SH2 genetic profile, strict spatial isolation of at least 300 meters from other corn varieties is mandatory. This prevents cross-pollination, which would otherwise result in starchy, less sweet kernels.
