Sweet Corn OVATONNA

Ovatonna F1 corn represents an early universal hybrid of super-sweet corn of the SH2 type, developed by the French seed company Clause. The maturation period is about 70-73 days from mass seedling emergence, allowing for a harvest in a short time. Plants reach a height of 200-205 cm, possess abundant foliage that effectively protects fruits from external factors and pests. Ears form at a height of 50-60 cm, usually 1-2 per plant, have a cylindrical shape with a length of 21-24 cm and a diameter of 5-5.5 cm. Kernels are large, yellow, shiny, arranged in neat rows — from 18 to 24, which ensures an attractive commercial appearance and high product quality. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity and resistance to a wide range of diseases, as well as stress tolerance, which allows growing it in various agro-climatic conditions, including all climatic zones of Ukraine. The plant adapts easily to different agronomic techniques and does not require complex care, making it accessible for cultivation by both experienced and novice agrarians. Thanks to its strong immune system, corn recovers quickly after stressful effects without losing its internal resources and productivity. Ovatonna F1 is widely used for realization on the fresh market due to excellent taste qualities and high nutritional value of kernels. Ears retain freshness and sweetness for a long time, making them ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for culinary processing, canning, and freezing. This hybrid combines high yield, stability, and versatility of application, making it an attractive choice for farmers and gardeners focused on a quality and profitable sugar corn crop.
