Hardi F1 is a medium-maturing super-sweet corn hybrid of the SH2 type, selected by the Dutch company Hazera. The maturation period is 75-78 days, providing a wide harvest window. The plant has a tall but compact form, reaching up to 2-2.25 meters in height, with the ear positioned approximately 85 cm above the ground. Hardi F1 has a well-developed root system and high plasticity, allowing it to adapt successfully to various climatic conditions and withstand stress factors, including drought and high temperatures. The corn ears are cylindrical, up to 23-25 cm long, with a rich yellow color. They are well-leafed, providing reliable protection against damage. The kernels are large, dense, shiny, and arranged in 18-20 rows, giving the ears an attractive market appearance. Ear weight varies from 200 to 300 grams. Due to its taste qualities, the kernels maintain high sweetness for a long time, as sugar slowly converts into starch, allowing the product to retain freshness, juiciness, and appeal for an extended period. The Hardi F1 hybrid has high productivity — approximately 18-24 tons per hectare, with 1-2 ears per plant. It is resistant to major diseases such as corn mosaic and rust, and also exhibits high drought tolerance and adaptability to growing conditions. Harvesting can be done manually or mechanically, making this hybrid convenient for fresh market sales and processing. Hardi F1 combines high productivity, excellent taste qualities, and good transportability, making it an excellent choice for growing sweet corn.
