Andria F1

Andria F1 is a hybrid of super-sweet sweet corn developed by Moravoseed. Plants reach a height of about 160 cm and form conical ears approximately 18-20 cm long with 12-18 rows of yellow kernels. The average ear weight ranges from 150 to 170 grams. The kernels have high sugar content, with sweetness level corresponding to the SH2 class, providing a rich sweet taste and making this variety especially attractive for fresh consumption, as well as for freezing and canning.

The hybrid's vegetation period is 90 to 95 days, classifying it as a mid-early maturing variety. This mid-early maturity allows for a stable harvest in August, combining the advantages of early and late-maturing varieties. For successful cultivation, corn should be planted in a sunny location with loose, well-heated soil, with seed planting depth of 4-5 cm. The optimal planting scheme is row spacing of 60-70 cm and plant-to-plant spacing of 25-30 cm; for better pollination, it is preferable to plant in squares or blocks.

Crop care includes regular watering, especially during ear formation, as well as nitrogen fertilization during early growth stages, followed by potassium and phosphorus application. Important practices include weeding and soil loosening to ensure oxygen access to roots. To maintain high sugar content and prevent cross-pollination with fodder corn, it is recommended to grow this hybrid separately. Andria F1 is well-suited for open-ground cultivation, especially in regions with a warm climate where soil temperature consistently exceeds +12-14 °C, providing optimal conditions for germination and development.
