Sunflower Zhokei

Working with the «Jockey» sunflower

When working with «Jockey» sunflower seeds from Ooo Npp Vit, the first thing you notice is the predictability of the crop. In the field, this hybrid behaves like a workhorse, not requiring any excessive effort as long as the basic agronomic standards are followed. From an operator's perspective, it is important that the seeds emerge uniformly, creating a level stand that makes subsequent spraying and weed control tasks much easier to manage.

Disease protection: how it performs on the ground

The biggest headache in sunflower farming is unexpected disease outbreaks during the seed-filling stage. With «Jockey», protection work is simplified by the hybrid's natural resistance. In practice, this means that even in years with high humidity that often triggers epiphytotics, there are no visible signs of rust or brown spot on the leaves. This allows you to save on fungicide applications, which directly reduces fuel and chemical expenses.

Agronomic advantages

• High tolerance to Septoria and brown spot helps maintain leaf surface integrity throughout the season.
• The hybrid is highly resistant to a complex of diseases, including Fusarium, Alternaria, and powdery mildew, making it adaptable to various climatic zones.
• A well-developed root system allows the crop to withstand short-term environmental stresses without significant yield loss.

Maintenance is reduced to standard monitoring. The crop is not prone to lodging, which is critical for mechanized harvesting: the header runs smoothly without header loss, preserving your margins at the end of the season. If you are looking for a crop that yields stable results and forgives minor mistakes, «Jockey» is a pragmatic choice for those focusing on efficiency.
