Sunflower Zolote Runo

Stable yields with minimized risk

Developed by the Zaporizhzhia National University, the "Zolote Runo" sunflower variety is designed for growers aiming for predictable results in areas with moderate disease pressure. Its 100–110 cm height fits perfectly into intensive farming systems that require a compact stand resistant to lodging, even under high wind conditions.

Pathogen resistance as an economic asset

The primary advantage of "Zolote Runo" lies in its genetic resistance to a complex of hazardous fungal diseases. Utilizing this variety allows farmers to reduce the number of fungicide applications throughout the growing season. The plant demonstrates strong resistance to the following threats:

• Mycosphaerella leaf spot and brown spot, affecting the leaf canopy;
• Plant rust (including complex rust pathogens);
• Stem smut and powdery mildew.

Such a phytosanitary profile makes it an excellent choice for fields where crop rotation does not completely eliminate the risk of soil-borne pathogen buildup. The variety performs effectively in conditions where other hybrids would otherwise require intensive chemical protection.

Field Application

Thanks to its height of 100–110 cm, this sunflower variety is compatible with all modern harvesting machinery, ensuring clean passes and minimal grain loss. Agronomists choose "Zolote Runo" for fields where uniform maturation and easy crop management are priorities. This variety does not require complex combine calibration and is well-adapted to the climatic realities of Ukraine, showing high plasticity across various soil and weather conditions.
