Tibo

Tibo is a high-yielding oil-type sunflower hybrid with a short growing period of approximately 85 days. Plants reach a height of 160 cm, and the flower head diameter ranges from 18 to 22 cm. The hybrid is characterized by a high 1000-seed mass of 65-70 g, and seed oil content of 50-52%. The yield potential of Tibo reaches 52 centners per hectare, making it attractive for cultivation in various climatic conditions across Ukraine. One of the key advantages of the Tibo hybrid is its high drought resistance and genetic resistance to common sunflower diseases such as white and gray mold, phomopsis, phomosis, as well as to bird damage and false powdery mildew. This ensures stable yields even under adverse conditions. The hybrid does not shed during ripening, which facilitates harvest and reduces losses. Tibo is recommended for cultivation throughout Ukraine, especially in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. It responds well to intensive cultivation technologies, particularly the application of mineral fertilizers, which can increase yield by 0.4-0.6 tons per hectare. The optimal plant stand density at harvest time is 45-52 thousand plants per hectare, depending on the cultivation zone. Thanks to its characteristics, the Tibo hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high yields of quality oil sunflower.
