Rapeseed Conrad CL

Konrad CL Winter Rapeseed: Field Performance

Working with the Konrad CL hybrid from Limagrain, agronomists highlight its technological flexibility. As part of the Clearfield system, this hybrid offers a straightforward approach to weed management, which is essential for early-stage crop development. In field conditions, the hybrid shows steady growth and strong root rosette formation in autumn, which is critical for surviving the winter period.

Disease Resistance and Productivity

One of the biggest challenges in rapeseed production is fungal infection. The French breeding program of Limagrain excels here: resistance to white mold, phoma, and various types of rot significantly reduces the need for heavy fungicide applications. Konrad CL maintains high crop integrity, preventing yield losses commonly seen in humid climates.

Key Specifications

• Optimal seeding rate: 500,000 plants per hectare.
• Yield potential: 60–70 c/ha.
• Oil content: 20–25% with low erucic acid levels.

For best results, this hybrid responds well to intensive mineral nutrition programs. It is crucial to maintain the recommended seeding density: over-densification can hinder airflow, increasing the risk of rot, while under-seeding will prevent the crop from reaching its full yield potential. Konrad CL is a reliable choice for farmers who prioritize consistent yields and cleaner fields with optimized management costs.
