SI PALADIN

SI PALADIN is a mid-early sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.) with a vegetative period of about 95–112 days, intended for cultivation in various regions, including the Lower Volga and Volgograd regions. The hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 43.6 centners per hectare under certain conditions, and stable yield formation even under adverse weather conditions. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 58.9 g, indicating large-seededness. Oil content in seeds varies from 39.4% to 54%, making this hybrid attractive for oilseed production. SI PALADIN exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including white mold, false powdery mildew, fomopsis, alternaria, and downy mildew. Additionally, the hybrid is tolerant to herbicides of the Clearfield Plus system, which facilitates weed control and enhances the efficiency of agronomic practices. A distinctive feature of the variety is resistance to seven races of Sclerotinia (A–G), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The hybrid responds well to fertilizers and is recommended for cultivation in areas with insufficient moisture, where it demonstrates high competitiveness. The recommended plant population at harvest is 50,000–60,000 plants per hectare, depending on moisture conditions. SI PALADIN belongs to the extensive type of hybrids and is suitable for conventional cultivation methods. Thanks to its high agronomic characteristics and disease resistance, this hybrid is a reliable choice for producers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality sunflower harvest.
