Rembo sunflower hybrid is a simple hybrid developed by the company 'Quality Crops' (Romania) and LLC 'NPO 'Nasinnia'. It is intended for cultivation under the Granstar (Express Sun; Sumo) technology and is characterized by resistance to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl (SU). Rembo belongs to the medium-early maturity group with a vegetative period of about 120 days, allowing effective use in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. Plant height reaches 170-180 cm, and the medium-large head has a diameter of 18-20 cm. The hybrid demonstrates a high yield potential up to 52 centners per hectare and consistently shows good results under various soil-climatic conditions due to its high plasticity. Rembo seeds have a high oil content — from 49 to 52%, making this hybrid attractive for the oil industry. High seed oil content (20-22%) and optimal seeding density contribute to achieving maximum oil content and productivity. Rembo is characterized by high resistance to major diseases and stress factors. It exhibits high drought resistance (9 out of 10), lodging resistance (8 out of 10), shattering resistance (9 out of 10), as well as resistance to downy mildew (6 strains: A-F), rust (9 out of 10), fomopsis (8 out of 10), downy mildew (9 out of 10), and rot (7 out of 10). Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to sunflower rust. These qualities ensure stable yields and reduce the risk of losses under unfavorable growing conditions.
