Ramena is a mid-early hybrid sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) developed for effective cultivation under various climatic conditions, including the Orenburg region and the Ural region. The hybrid's vegetation period ranges from 109 to 122 days, enabling it to successfully adapt to different cultivation zones. Plants reach a height of 175–190 cm, and the 1000-seed weight is approximately 44.5 g. The average seed yield in the Ural region reaches 18.4 centners per hectare, with oil content in seeds varying from 47.9% to 52%, indicating high oil potential. The Ramena hybrid is resistant to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl and to ragweed A-G+, ensuring stable yields and reducing the risk of losses. It tolerates short-term frosts, expanding its cultivation potential in areas with variable climates. Plants have a semi-tilted flower head and medium-sized black seeds with good pollination. To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to maintain optimal planting density — 45–50 thousand plants per hectare in moderately moist zones and 50–55 thousand plants per hectare in sufficiently moist zones, along with insecticide-fungicide seed treatment. Ramena sunflower seeds are rich in organic fats, dietary fibers, vitamins A, D, B, E, and minerals, making them a health-promoting product. They contribute to improved memory, immune support, and digestion normalization. Seeds are widely used as a standalone snack and also added to various dishes, desserts, and beverages.
