Sunflower of the POKROVSKIY variety is a medium-maturing, high-yielding confectionery-type variety. Plants reach a height of 1.6-1.8 meters, featuring large, correctly shaped heads with a diameter of 22-27 cm. Branching is absent in this variety, contributing to the formation of a strong and upright stem. Flowering and ripening occur synchronously, ensuring even harvest collection.

POKROVSKIY sunflower seeds are large, oval-elongated, weighing between 75 and 98 grams for 1000 seeds. The main seed coloration is black with strongly pronounced marginal stripes, while stripes between the edges are either absent or weakly expressed. The purity of the kernel content is 59.7%, indicating high seed quality. The kernels contain up to 20% protein, which is significantly higher than in oilseed varieties, making this sunflower attractive for the confectionery industry and consumers who value nutritional value.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, shattering, and thickening, which facilitates agricultural practices and increases harvest stability. The average yield is about 20 c/ha, while under favorable conditions it can reach 27.6-35.1 c/ha. The average oil content in seeds is 43.4%, and the crushing coefficient is 0.95.
