OSTIN

Ostin is a mid-early simple hybrid sunflower with a vegetation period of 105-110 days. Plants reach an average height of 180-185 cm, have a semi-tilted, convex-shaped head with a diameter of 22-24 cm. Leaves are green, ray flowers are yellow. The hybrid belongs to the intensive type and is recommended for cultivation in areas with sufficient and insufficient moisture, with planting rates of 60-65 thousand and 55-60 thousand plants per hectare respectively.

Ostin is characterized by high yield potential up to 48-51 centners per hectare and average oil content in seeds of about 50-53.7%. The oil content in seeds is approximately 53.7%, and oil yield reaches 16.7 centners per hectare. The hybrid is resistant to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl (SU) at a dose of 50 g/ha, providing effective weed control and promoting stable plant growth.

The hybrid is produced by NPO «Galaktika». Ostin is characterized by high adaptability and is suitable for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region, including Belgorod Oblast. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and herbicide resistance, this sunflower hybrid is a reliable choice for obtaining high-quality oil yields.
