Olleg

Olleg sunflower is a late-maturing hybrid characterized by medium plant height and absence of branching. Leaves are medium-sized, green, with prominent reticulation and serrated edges. Flower heads are yellow, narrowly ovate, tubular flowers are also yellow with anthocyanic stigma. The head is half-downward oriented, small to medium size, with a straight stem and slightly convex seed side. Seeds are narrowly ovate, medium thickness, black in color, with absence or weak expression of stripes. Hybrid Olleg has high seed yield, averaging 31.4 c/ha, and oil content in seeds ranging from 47.4 to 50.6%, ensuring oil harvest of 10.4–14.8 c/ha. Despite high productivity, the plant is not resistant to downy mildew. However, the hybrid exhibits good resistance to diseases and drought, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including arid regions. Olleg is suitable for intensive farming with optimal planting density from 40 to 55 thousand plants per hectare depending on the growing zone. High oil content and pest resistance ensure stable and high yields, making this hybrid an attractive choice for farmers seeking high-quality, economically viable raw material for oil production.
