Sunflower Opera PR is a mid-season linoleic hybrid of classical cultivation technology developed by the Swiss company Syngenta. It belongs to the extensive type with moderate growth energy in early development stages and exhibits high plasticity regarding sowing timing. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine and is suitable for any soil types, including low-fertility soils. Due to its adaptability, Opera PR demonstrates excellent yield stability even at lower planting densities, compensating by increasing flower head and seed size.
The hybrid possesses high drought resistance and resistance to nematodes (groups A–E), ensuring reliable and stable yields under various conditions. Yield potential reaches 5 tons per hectare, with oil content in seeds ranging from 48% to 52%. Seeds are black, characteristic of this hybrid, and the quantity per bag is 150,000. Opera PR is distinguished by high technological efficiency during harvest, simplifying the harvesting process and enhancing its effectiveness.
