The hybrid sunflower NS H 4914 is a high-yielding, simple hybrid designed for oil production. It was developed by the Serbian selection Novi Sad in collaboration with the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops and adapted for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones of Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 160-180 cm, have a thin, convex head with a diameter of 22-25 cm, and black elongated seeds weighing 60-70 g per 1000 seeds. The vegetation period is 104-108 days, corresponding to the medium-early maturity group. Yield potential exceeds 55 centners per hectare, and oil content ranges from 47-49%.
One of the key features of hybrid NS H 4914 is its high resistance to various stress factors and diseases. Plants exhibit very high drought, lodging, and shattering resistance, as well as tolerance to diseases such as Phomopsis, Phomoid, gray mold, and gray rot. The hybrid is also resistant to sunflower moth and sunflower downy mildew, including 7+ races (A-G+). Additionally, seeds show high herbicide resistance, simplifying crop management and increasing cultivation efficiency.
Hybrid NS H 4914 is recommended for cultivation using the "SUMO" technology, which ensures optimal conditions for achieving high yields and product quality. Seeds meet international quality and ecological standards, making this hybrid a reliable choice for oilseed producers aiming for stable and high results under various climatic conditions.
