Sunflower NS H 4919 — this is a high-oleic hybrid developed by the Serbian Institute of Field and Vegetable Crop Research in Novi Sad. It is intended for oil production and is characterized by high adaptability to various agro-climatic conditions, allowing successful cultivation in forest-steppe zones. An early-maturing variety with a maturation period suitable for regions with a short growing season, it ensures a stable yield and meets international quality standards.
The hybrid is characterized by high seed oil content — from 50 to 52% — making it attractive for oil producers. Plants reach a height of 150–160 cm and have a strong root system, contributing to resistance to lodging and stress factors, including drought. Yield potential is approximately 4.8 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity.
NS H 4919 is distinguished by herbicide tolerance and resistance to a broad spectrum of diseases, including downy mildew, significantly reducing cultivation risks and enhancing economic efficiency. Due to these qualities, the hybrid is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies and can be successfully used in various agrotechnical systems, ensuring a stable and high-quality sunflower yield.
