The variety was created by multiple individually-family selection from the Avangard variety and is intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Volga-Vyatka, Middle Volga, Ural, Western Siberia, and Eastern Siberia. The plants have an average height from 87 to 119 cm and a phenological period from 90 to 117 days depending on the region, with early-mid flowering time.
Sibiryak 60 is distinguished by high seed yield, which varies from 10 to 26 centners per hectare in different regions, while potential yield can reach 31 c/ha. Oil content ranges from 42.9% to 52%, making the variety attractive for oilseed crop production. Additionally, protein content in seeds is about 22%, further enhancing the value of the raw material for processing.
The variety has drought resistance at a level of 3.0-4.8 points and good resistance to diseases and pests, contributing to a stable harvest under various climatic conditions.
