ES ASTRID is a mid-season hybrid of winter rapeseed (Brassica napus var. napus) type 00, characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. It exhibits high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions, including the Northwestern and North Caucasian. The vegetative period is approximately 319 days, with late flowering, which promotes optimal plant development in moderate climates. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 4.3 to 5.8 grams, and plants reach an average height of about 146 cm with characteristic green foliage and medium leaf margin serration.

The hybrid is distinguished by high seed yield, averaging 46.3 centners per hectare and reaching up to 55.3 centners per hectare under favorable conditions. Fat content in seeds ranges from 42.7% to 49.5%, ensuring high oiliness of the product. The plant is resistant to shattering and possesses good resistance to diseases such as phoma, cylinderosporiosis, and sclerotinia, which reduces yield losses and improves seed quality.

ES ASTRID is adapted to various soil and climatic conditions and is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies, including No-till and Strip-till. The recommended sowing rate is 400-500 thousand seeds per hectare, with an optimal density of 35–45 plants per square meter during the spring resumption of vegetation. Sowing depth should be 2–4 cm, and row spacing 10–25 cm. Thanks to its characteristics and resistance, this hybrid is a cost-effective choice for obtaining stable and high yields of oilseed.
